Dan is a board-level business leader, creative innovator and diversity and inclusion change-maker. He is in the process of setting up a company whose vision is ‘to help companies do well by doing good’, through developing authentic purpose-driven strategies and executing them internally and externally.
For eight years prior to this he was Chief Marketing & Communications Officer and Board Champion for Diversity & Inclusion at Channel 4. During Dan’s time Channel 4 was widely recognised for the success of its work in these fields: UK Marketing Society Brand of the Year 2017; Cannes Lions Grand Prix Awards 2016 & 2012; British Arrows Advertiser of Excellence 2016; Campaign Magazine Advertiser of the Year 2015; Creative Review Agency of the Year worldwide 2012; first company ever to be awarded level 5 status in Ernst & Young’s National Equality Standard 2018; Britain’s Best Diverse Company 2016.
He is the UK Government Media Sector Champion for disability employment, a member of both the International Paralympic Committee’s Global Brand Advisory Group and the British Paralympic Association’s Social Action Committee and on the Advisory Board for One Young World 2019. He was awarded a Royal Television Society Fellowship in 2017 and was the UK Marketing Society’s Young Marketer of the Year 2001.
