María Inés Rodríguez
Artistic Director, Tropical Papers
Rodríguez is Artistic Director at Tropical Papers, an inclusive cultural forum, founded in 2005, which now exists as an active digital platform dedicated to developing a reflection on art, architecture, design, and scientific research and to visibilize the work and projects of cultural practitioners from and in the tropics.
She is currently adjunct curator at MASP, Museu de Arte de S o Paulo Assis Chateaubriand, where she curated exhibitions dedicated to Ana Pi, Babette Mangolte, Laure Prouvost, Laura Huertas, Mathilde Rosier.
She was previously the Director of CAPC Musée d’art Contemporain of Bordeaux, chief curator of the MUAC in Mexico City, and chief curator at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Castilla y Léon (MUSAC) in Spain.
Parallel to her curatorial work, Rodríguez has organised public lectures and exhibitions around the topics of printed matter and architecture. In 2005 she founded Tropical Paper editions, which now exists as an active digital platform dedicated to contemporary creation in the Tropical region.
